Pay It Forward
At Riverside Cafe we run a pay it forward scheme that enables customers to buy a meal or hot drink in advance for someone in need. Whether they are sleeping rough, out of work or struggling to feed their family, they can still access a meal, a drink and some comfort for a while.
If you would like to contribute just ask the staff and they will be able to help you, any contribution no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
Fareshare
FareShare is the UK’s longest running food redistribution charity, it was born out of the belief that no good food should go to waste, especially when people are going hungry.
Riverside Cafe partners with FareShare, distributing good quality food to people who use our holiday hunger food charity - pantry project, or by using food that would otherwise go to waste to make meals in the cafe.
Community Space
Our relaxed lower lounge space is very popular with charity support groups and community groups like book or craft clubs. We offer either the whole space or a table for free but ask that everyone either buys a drink and maybe a snack for themselves or has one bought for them.
We welcome all sorts of groups that wish to have a quiet space to meet, share and connect with one another over a cup of coffee.
